Paul George poured in 36 points and Lance Stephenson flirted with a triple-double as the Indiana Pacers routed the Los Angeles Clippers, 106-92, on Saturday from Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

George shot 12-of-17 from the floor, including 5-of-6 from beyond the arc, while Stephenson tallied 22 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in Indiana’s fourth straight win overall and third straight over LA dating back to last season.

Danny Granger and C.J. Watson added 12 and 11 points, respectively, while Roy Hibbert had 11 rebounds and five blocked shots. Indiana survived the ejection of David West at the end of the first half and subsequent foul trouble to backup Luis Scola and Hibbert.

“I’m proud of our guys for battling through some obvious adversity,” said coach Frank Vogel. “I thought Roy Hibbert was spectacular when he was in there. I was proud of Danny Granger playing extended minutes, some at power forward, a position he hasn’t played in a couple years. We had to play a game we’re not used to playing. Our guys flat out battled and won a game convincingly. It’s just guys rising the occasion and stepping up.”

Jamal Crawford scored 22 points off the bench as the Clippers fell to .500 on the road. Blake Griffin netted 19 points and DeAndre Jordan went for 12 points and 17 boards as LA’s five-game winning streak was halted.

Griffin’s free throws at 7:22 of the first quarter gave LA its biggest lead at 13-6 before the Pacers assumed control. Stephenson’s jumper at 6:09 sparked a 15-0 Indiana run. Stephenson and George both converted three-point plays during the rally, which George capped with his short jumper four minutes later.

The Pacers led 28-18 after the first and 57-41 at halftime, but had to play the final 24 minutes without West, who was ejected for a flagrant 2 foul at the very end of the first half. West got tangled with Griffin under the basket and swung his arm, making contact with Griffin’s head. West had just four points and two rebounds in 15 first-half minutes.

If the home team missed their leader, it didn’t show. The lead never reached single digits during the third and grew to as much as 20 points on a Stephenson layup three minutes into the frame.

“I’m feeling great,” Stephenson said. “I’m applying what the coaches are teaching me and I feel we’re all well prepared. We watch a lot of film. We just focus on staying sharp. We rely on our defense and lock in. We know teams will make runs. We just keep playing ball.”

Crawford’s jumper 1 1/2 minutes into the fourth had LA’s deficit down to nine, but Stephenson scored the next four points to keep the Clips at arm’s length.

Granger’s layup at 8:10 made it 91-72, essentially sealing the outcome, but George made sure the home crowd got its money’s worth. The Indy star canned a 3-pointer midway through the period then came up with a steal on the other end and coasted in for a 360 slam worthy of the dunk contest.

Notes: The Pacers won the rebounding margin, 48-39, and outscored LA 42-32 in the paint … Indiana shot 21-of-22 from the foul line … Darren Collison scored 10 points for LA, while J.J. Redick scored eight on 4-of-17 shooting from the floor. Redick missed all seven of his 3-point tries.
